About Them
We are partnering with a well-respected, mission-driven social services organisation to recruit a Workers Compensation & WHS Consultant for an initial 3 month contract.
This not-for-profit operates across multiple service streams including disability support, children and family services, and school-based counselling.
This role sits within a highly values-driven People & Culture function and you will be working as part of a collaborative team.
The Role
You’ll provide expert support on Workers Compensation and broader WHS activity, with a focus on:
- Managing and overseeing active workers compensation claims, including liaising with insurers, monitoring case progress, and supporting injured workers and managers.
- Advising on compliance with both state and federal workers compensation legislation.
- Providing practical support on WHS matters – including inspections, reporting, and risk assessments as required.
- Contributing insight to support the transition to a proposed new WHS structure – providing high-level advice to senior leadership and flagging any risk areas.
You will be an experienced Workers Compensation professional who can confidently step into a multi-site, service delivery environment and provide both hands-on and strategic support. You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end workers compensation claims, ideally in a human-centred or service-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of NSW workers compensation frameworks and ability to navigate both state and federal systems.
- Confidence in liaising with insurers, internal teams, and leadership stakeholders.
- A proactive, steady presence able to support and advise during a period of organisational change.
- Bonus if you bring any experience with WHS in community services, disability or health settings.
- Contract length: 3–4 months (with potential to extend)
- Start date: Ideally within the next 1–2 weeks
- Hours: Full-time preferred, flexibility available
- Work pattern: Hybrid – Innerwestffice 1–2 days/week, rest remote or across sites as needed.
