The Opportunity
We are partnering with a large, well-established NSW organisation to secure an experienced Workers Compensation Manager for an immediate start interim contract.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees across Sydney and regional NSW, providing critical stability, expertise and momentum across workers compensation and injury management.

This role suits a seasoned workers compensation professional who can step in quickly, take ownership, and deliver strong outcomes from day one.

Key Responsibilities
In this interim capacity, you will:
  • Lead the end-to-end management of workers compensation claims across NSW
  • Partner closely with the external claims provider to drive proactive injury management and return-to-work outcomes
  • Manage relationships with insurers, brokers, rehabilitation providers and legal partners
  • Review and analyse claim trends, identify risks, and implement practical, short-term improvement strategies
  • Provide clear reporting and insights to senior leaders on claim performance, trends and financial impacts
  • Support and coach managers to improve capability and confidence in injury management obligations
  • Identify quick wins and continuous improvement opportunities across systems, processes and practices
About You
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running.
You will bring:
  • Strong internal, in-house experience managing workers compensation within a complex or commercial environment
  • Deep working knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex claims across multiple sites
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing operational stakeholders
  • A pragmatic, empathetic and solutions-focused approach to injured worker support
Candidates with prior insurer or external provider experience will be highly regarded; however, recent internal corporate experience is essential.
