Are you a WHS professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing leaders and creating practical safety outcomes?

We are seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety Specialist to join a respected organisation within the healthcare sector. This is an opportunity to step into a broad advisory role where you can genuinely influence culture, strengthen capability and support positive workplace outcomes.
With established systems already in place, the focus of this position is on stakeholder engagement, partnering with leaders and continuing the evolution of a proactive safety culture.

About the Role
Reporting into the People & Culture function, you will provide end to end WHS support across a diverse workforce and play a key role in promoting safe and healthy ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing practical WHS advice and coaching to leaders and employees
  • Supporting WHS compliance, governance and risk management activities
  • Managing incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Reviewing and improving WHS policies, procedures and systems
  • Conducting audits, inspections and workplace assessments
  • Supporting psychosocial risk management initiatives
  • Delivering WHS training and awareness programs
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation
About You
You are a pragmatic and approachable WHS professional who enjoys working closely with people and influencing positive change.
You will ideally bring:
  • Experience in a WHS Advisor, WHS Specialist or HSE role
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles
  • Experience with incident investigations and compliance activities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • A practical, solutions focused approach
Experience within healthcare, community services, aged care, disability services, government, not for profit or professional services environments will be highly regarded.

This role will suit someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, building trust and making a meaningful contribution to workplace health, safety and wellbeing.
