This role works closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure all staff go home safely. You will develop a proactive approach to injury prevention, field-based safety engagement, and capability building to improve safety. Reporting into the GM of People this role is key to driving safety outcomes across the business.
The Role
This role is a stand-alone role managing safety across the business. This is a part-time role across 2.5 or 3 days. The hours and days you work are flexible. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and drive the safety culture through field engagement and developing relationships across the business
- Facilitate safety training across the business with leaders and frontline workers
- Manage the safety management system and improve reporting
- Work with the injury management team to reduce injuries and risk
- Day to day management of safety including risk assessments, incident investigations and developing safety initiatives
- Proven experience in a similar WHS or Safety role
- Strong knowledge of relevant Safety legislation.
- Ability to positively influence safety outcomes which are in the best interest of the business
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Cert IV in WHS or equivalent
