An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Work Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established and highly respected organisation operating across the residential construction sector. This leadership role offers the chance to influence safety culture, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner closely with operational leaders to ensure best-practice WHS outcomes across multiple sites.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the implementation, ongoing development and continuous improvement of the organisation's Workplace Health & Safety Management System. You will provide expert WHS guidance to management and operational teams, ensuring legislative compliance while fostering a proactive safety culture across offices and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of WHS management systems and programs.
  • Develop and manage WHS audit programs and conduct site inspections.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and stakeholders on WHS matters.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and key WHS objectives.
  • Champion a positive safety culture that promotes accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Travel to operational sites as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Significant experience in a senior WHS leadership role, ideally within construction, building, property, infrastructure or a similarly high-risk environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice.
  • Demonstrated experience working with ISO 45001 and/or comparable safety management frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in risk management, incident investigation and compliance auditing.
  • Experience influencing leaders and engaging stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach combined with strong strategic capability.
