The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to join a leading organisation operating within the residential construction and building industry.

Reporting into the national safety function, you will play a critical role in driving safety performance, strengthening compliance frameworks, and fostering a proactive safety culture across multiple sites and business operations. As a key member of the WHS leadership team, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's WHS Management System.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies and processes.
  • Managing risk, incident, hazard and corrective action reporting frameworks.
  • Providing expert WHS advice and support to leaders and stakeholders across the business.
  • Delivering WHS training, coaching and awareness initiatives to managers, employees and contractors.
  • Promoting a positive, engaged and accountable safety culture throughout the organisation.
The Person

You are a highly capable safety professional with a genuine passion for creating safer workplaces and influencing positive behavioural change. You thrive in environments where you can partner with operational leaders, build strong relationships and drive practical safety outcomes.

To be successful, you will bring:
  • Significant experience in a senior WHS leadership or management position.
  • Demonstrated success conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Experience supporting workers compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
  • The ability to coach, mentor and support leaders in achieving safety excellence.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
