ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a pivotal safety role within a large Asia Pacific real asset group. As WHS Manager, Developments, you’ll provide strategic, technical and hands on support across a diverse development pipeline, ensuring systems are implemented effectively, risks are well managed, and teams are set up to deliver safely.
You’ll partner closely with project teams, contractors and customers to embed strong WHS practices, deliver training, conduct assurance activities, manage incidents and support continuous improvement across all stages of development. The role is both strategic and operational, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, high demand environments and enjoys building capability at all levels.
- Lead WHS performance across a varied portfolio of development projects, embedding systems and best practice from planning to delivery
- Drive assurance activities, including site inspections, audits and WHS Management System implementation
- Partner closely with project teams and contractors to build capability and uplift day to day safety behaviours
- Manage and support incident reporting, investigation and closure
- Deliver coaching and training to strengthen WHS understanding and accountability
- Contribute to Safety in Design and continuous improvement initiatives across disciplines
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Bring strong WHS experience across construction, property or other high-risk environments, with solid knowledge of NSW WHS legislation
- Communicate with impact and build trust quickly across contractors, internal teams and senior stakeholders
