The Opportunity
An experienced WHS Coordinator is sought to join a collaborative and supportive safety team on an initial 6 month contract.
Reporting to an experienced and highly regarded Health & Safety Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering high-quality WHS compliance, reporting and advisory services. You will help strengthen and continuously improve safety systems, governance frameworks and wellbeing initiatives across a complex, multi-site environment.
This role offers genuine scope to influence “what good looks like” in WHS governance, particularly across psychosocial risk management and executive reporting.
About the Role
Working within a team of eight safety and wellbeing professionals, the WHS Coordinator will deliver end-to-end governance, compliance and advisory services across the Agency.
Key focus areas include:
- WHS legislative compliance and regulatory advice
- Psychosocial risk management and emerging regulatory requirements
- Data analysis, reporting and trend identification
- Executive, Audit & Risk Committee and Board reporting
- Continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies and procedures
- Development and delivery of WHS training in partnership with L&D
- Collate and analyse WHS and workers compensation data to identify trends and emerging risks
- Develop and monitor health and safety action plans across multiple sites
- Conduct organisational WHS audits and inspections, identifying gaps and recommending improvements
- Prepare high-quality reports and briefings for senior leadership and governance committees
- Support regulatory matters including liaison and documentation

You will bring:
- Qualifications in WHS (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and contemporary best practice
- Proven capability analysing and interpreting WHS and injury management data
