About the Client
The Safe Step is partnering with a well established creative project design and delivery business working with leading property developers across Australia.
  
As the business continues to mature and strengthen its operating model, there is a clear commitment to lifting WHS capability in a practical, people focused way. Strong frameworks are already in place, and this role exists to maintain, embed and continuously improve these systems.

Key Responsibilities:-
  • Maintain and build on existing WHS systems, processes and documentation
  • Support and coach project managers on WHS responsibilities and client requirements
  • Coordinate inductions, licences, insurances and WHS documentation for suppliers and subcontractors
  • Review SWMS, risk assessments and WHS records aligned to legislation and ISO style standards
  • Monitor incidents, trends and reporting requirements, including notifiable incidents where required
  • Strengthen supplier engagement and lift consistency in documentation and compliance
  • Provide practical, solutions focused WHS advice that supports delivery rather than slows it down
About You
  
This role will suit a WHS professional who enjoys partnering with the business, educating teams and embedding safe, consistent ways of working. You’re comfortable operating in a small business environment, influencing without authority and helping people understand the why , not just the paperwork.

You’ll Bring
  • Experience in WHS within construction, fit out or finishing trades
  • Strong communication and consultation skills
  • A practical, pragmatic and approachable style
  • Confidence working independently while building relationships across the business
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience
