Key Responsibilities:-
- Maintain and enhance the WHS frameworks, processes and systems established by the current consultant
- Support and educate project managers on WHS responsibilities, documentation and client requirements
- Oversee WHS compliance across multiple project sites, including audits and site visit
- Coordinate inductions, licensing, insurances and WHS documentation for project teams and suppliers
- Prepare and review SWMS, risk assessments and WHS records aligned to legislation and ISO style processes
- Monitor incidents, trends and reporting obligations, including notifiable incidents where required
- Strengthen supplier engagement to ensure accurate and timely WHS documentation
- Provide regular coaching, consultation and communication to uplift capability across the team
- Prepare periodic WHS summary reports and support ongoing system improvement
You bring solid WHS capability with experience in construction, fit out or finishing trades, and you are confident engaging with project managers, suppliers and external clients. You are comfortable contributing to change and helping lift accountability in a small business environment, communicating clearly, building trust quickly and taking a practical, solutions focused approach.
You’ll bring:-
- The ability to coach, educate and influence teams with varying WHS understanding
- A proactive mindset with strong ownership of WHS delivery and follow through
- The confidence to work independently and balance office and on site engagement, particularly early on
- Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent, with familiarity using WHS systems
- Opportunity to build on a solid WHS foundation rather than starting from scratch
- Meaningful influence across culture, safety capability and operational maturity
- Variety across office based work, project sites and supplier engagement
- Flexibility in a part time role within a supportive and collaborative team
