The Role
This role will provide support to project delivery teams and input into Health and Safety strategy. You will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure organisational compliance and adherence to legislation, policies and procedures
- Develop relationships with stakeholders to develop a strong safety culture based on reducing risk of injury
- Provide input into the improvement of the safety management system
- Support and drive the implementation of safety initiatives across the business
- Manage competing priorities on a large construction site
The Person
This role would suit a seasoned safety professional with construction experience. Ideally, the right candidate will have experience working on both the client side and contractor side of construction. In addition, we are looking for the following:
- Experience working in construction ideally with a mix of civil, structures and rail (however each of those will be considered)
- A good communicator who can build relationships at all levels and can influence
- Previous experience in developing a safety management system
- Experience in audits, risk assessment, incident investigations and driving safety initiatives
- Highly organised who can navigate a busy environment with competing priorities
