About the Role
As a WHS Advisor, you will be pivotal in implementing the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategies across Sydney and some sites across NSW. Reporting to the Safety Manager, your mission will be to drive cultural change, improve safety practices, and ensure compliance with legislation. This is a field-based role with a strong emphasis on operational engagement, requiring frequent travel to sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution: Implement WHS plans and initiatives in line with organisational goals.
  • Operational Support: Provide hands-on guidance on risk assessments, safety training, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Incident Management: Lead thorough investigations using ICAM methodology or other root cause analysis techniques.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with teams and leadership to embed safety practices and foster a positive safety culture.
  • Audit and Governance: Conduct audits and ensure non-conformances are addressed in a timely manner.
About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in an HSE / WHS discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a multi-site operational safety role.
  • Strong understanding of WHS regulations and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience in incident investigation methodologies.
  • Ability to consult, influence, and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to safety.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for driving cultural change and achieving tangible results.
