About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly respected organisation within the Australian media industry. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Wellbeing, Safety & Environment Advisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to a strong culture of safety and well-being.
Reporting to the Head of Wellbeing, Safety, and Environment, this role sits within the People & Culture function and is crucial in ensuring a safe, compliant, and supportive workplace. You will play a key role in implementing safety initiatives, driving employee engagement in well-being programs, and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational safety support across various business units, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining safety documentation, risk assessments, and control measures.
- Support the WSE Committee and Champions in driving engagement and participation in safety programs.
- Conduct workplace safety observations, site inspections, and assist in incident investigations, supporting continuous improvement.
- Coordinate safety toolbox talks, training, and awareness programs to build capability and ownership.
- Support the implementation of well-being and mental health initiatives within the business.
- Act as a key contact for employees regarding safety-related queries and concerns.
- Monitor and respond to WSE inbox queries.
- Provide support for emergency response plans and situations.
- Monitor contractor management programs and provide administrative support for compliance.
- Assist with incident investigations using ICAM methodology, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Knowledge of WHS laws and regulations, with experience ensuring compliance.
- Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees and drive safety initiatives.
- Ability to conduct safety inspections, training, and respond to safety-related queries.
- Familiarity with emergency response plans and procedures.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- An understanding of well-being and mental health initiatives.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS).
- Train the Trainer certification (desirable).
