Are you an experienced Safety Manager or a Safety Advisor, Senior Advisor or Safety Business Partner ready to take the next step into a leadership role?

We are seeking a hands-on Site EHS Manager to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Melbourne's west. Reporting to the Head of EHS and sitting on the Site Leadership Team, this is a highly visible role focused on building relationships, influencing leaders, and driving a proactive safety culture across a complex industrial environment. This is not an office-based compliance role. Success will come from your ability to engage with people on the shop floor, coach leaders, and embed safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all site safety, health and environmental activities
  • Coach and support frontline leaders in managing operational risks
  • Drive safety culture, engagement and behavioural safety initiatives
  • Facilitate incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Manage return to work and injury management processes
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, standards and management systems
  • Monitor safety performance, analyse trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
The Person
  • Substantial proven experience in a safety role within manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, processing or another high-risk operational environment
  • Ideal role for someone to step into their first EHS Manager position or further develop your leadership capability
  • A strong relationship builder who influences through coaching
  • Comfortable working closely with frontline employees and operational leaders
  • Practical understanding of risk management, incident investigation and injury management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to drive change and build trust across all levels of the business
