About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function across a complex, live operational environment.
This role will suit a hands-on leader who enjoys being in the field, coaching teams, and driving safety performance, while also setting and delivering strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the HSEQ team across a complex, high-tempo operational environment
- Shape and execute the HSEQ strategy, ensuring strong alignment with broader business objectives and growth priorities
- Maintain a proactive, high-performing safety culture that drives accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Build, nurture and sustain trusted relationships across key external stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, contractors and regulators
- Lead proactive regulatory engagement, ensuring strong, constructive relationships with relevant authorities and a reputation for best-practice compliance

- Proven experience in a senior HSEQ leadership role within a complex operational environment
- Background in transport, infrastructure, utilities or other safety-critical industries
- A modern, coaching-focused leadership style with a genuine focus on developing people and capability
- Comfortable operating across both strategic and operational levels, with the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes
- Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments where adaptability, clarity and calm leadership are essential
