About the Company
Our client is a leading privately owned Australian organisation with more than 100 years of history and a workforce of 4,000+ employees across multiple operating businesses.
With a strong commitment to continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Business Partner to provide strategic safety leadership and partner with operational leaders to drive a proactive safety culture across a varied and dynamic risk profile.

About the Opportunity
This is a true business partnering role where you'll work alongside executive leaders, operational managers and HSE professionals to influence decision-making, strengthen safety capability and deliver meaningful improvements across the organisation.
No two days will be the same—you'll enjoy a combination of strategic work, coaching leaders, visiting operational sites and partnering with stakeholders across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide trusted HSE advice and strategic guidance.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Health & Safety Partners and operational leaders.
  • Review and enhance HSE systems, policies, procedures and risk frameworks.
  • Lead incident investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across Operations, HR, Risk and Audit to embed best-practice safety outcomes.
  • Support the ongoing development of a positive, high-performing safety culture.
About You
You'll be an experienced HSE professional who enjoys building relationships and influencing others rather than simply policing compliance.
You'll also bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior HSE advisory or business partnering role.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and contemporary safety practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a national team.
  • A willingness to travel across Sydney and interstate as required.
Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected organisation with an outstanding reputation and genuinely supportive culture. You'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working and the potential to extend beyond the initial 3-month contract.
