About the Client
The Safe Step is partnering with a large and highly regarded organisation undertaking a significant Health and Safety transformation.
Having already completed substantial groundwork across systems, data and governance, the focus is now shifting towards integration, simplification and execution. This role has been created to bring these initiatives together, establish a clear operating framework and build a modern, scalable and user focused approach to Health and Safety across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, Performance & Improvement, you will play a key leadership role in shaping future state systems, data capability and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, governance and continuous improvement of an ISO 45001 aligned Health & Safety Management System
- Create and maintain a single source of truth for Health and Safety documentation, standards and frameworks
- Oversee Health and Safety reporting, analytics, dashboards and system architecture
- Simplify and modernise safety frameworks, processes and digital platforms to improve user experience and adoption
- Drive digital transformation initiatives that strengthen decision making and organisational performance
- Use data and insights to improve visibility of risk and support proactive management across the business
- Identify opportunities for innovation, automation and emerging technology solutions
- Lead and develop a high performing team while fostering a collaborative and improvement focused culture
You have successfully led the design, simplification and implementation of complex Health and Safety Management Systems and understand how to translate safety requirements into practical, usable solutions.
You are equally comfortable discussing governance frameworks, system architecture, analytics and organisational change, while maintaining a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and business outcomes.
You'll Bring
- Experience leading complex ISO aligned Health & Safety Management Systems
- Strong capability across safety systems, governance, documentation control and assurance
- Expertise in reporting, analytics, KPI development and data driven decision making
- Experience delivering enterprise wide transformation or improvement programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- The ability to simplify complexity and drive practical implementation
- Commercial acumen, strategic thinking and a results focused mindset
- Experience operating within large, complex or highly regulated environments
