Are you ready to influence how safety truly works on the ground – not just on paper? Our client, a well-established leader in Sydney’s industrial services sector, is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor
who thrives on connection, curiosity, and achieving results through people.
This is a visible and hands-on role for someone who wants to make safety part of the everyday conversation, not just a monthly report. You will work closely with operational leaders and frontline teams who value authenticity, trust, and practical expertise.
About the Role
You will be out where the work happens – coaching, supporting, and shaping a stronger safety culture every day. Your focus will be on embedding safety as a genuine business value, not a compliance exercise.
You will:
- Lead culture change: Turn safety principles into sustainable behaviours that stick, moving beyond compliance towards genuine accountability.
- Build capability: Equip leaders and teams with the confidence and skills to manage risk and make safer decisions.
- Investigate and learn: Conduct detailed incident investigations that uncover insights and drive continuous improvement.
- Influence strategically: Connect enterprise safety goals with day-to-day operational realities.
- Champion improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce risk, and strengthen safety performance.
You are experienced, credible, and comfortable working across both operational and leadership levels. You bring a practical mindset, strong communication skills, and the confidence to influence others through respect and results.
You will have:
- Proven experience in health and safety advisory or partnering roles within industrial, manufacturing, or high-risk environments.
- Sound understanding of incident response, investigation, and risk management processes.
- The ability to engage, coach, and influence at all organisational levels.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance people and operational needs.
- Formal qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related discipline (preferred).
Why Join
- Autonomy with support: The freedom to make decisions, backed by strong leadership commitment.
- Visible impact: See the outcomes of your work reflected in safer, more engaged teams.
- Collaborative environment: Work with professionals who value teamwork, learning, and shared success.
- Challenge and variety: Every day brings new people, new risks, and new opportunities to make a difference.
