A rare opportunity exists for an accomplished Health & Safety leader to join a major infrastructure organisation delivering some of NSW most significant energy transition and capital projects.

This is not a traditional Health & Safety Manager role. Working within a high growth projects and development portfolio, you will support the delivery of large scale infrastructure programs spanning renewable energy, transmission, energy storage, major construction activities and emerging technologies.

Operating within a complex environment involving Tier 1 contractors, government stakeholders, regulators, delivery partners and executive leaders, you will play a key role in shaping how Health & Safety supports major project delivery across a rapidly expanding portfolio.

About the Role
This position sits at the intersection of major project delivery, contractor governance, organisational transformation and leadership development.
Leading an established Health & Safety partnering team, your focus will centre on three key priorities:

Contractor Management & Governance
A key challenge for the business is continuing to mature contractor management capability across project and operational teams.
While governance frameworks already exist, the organisation is looking to strengthen understanding and accountability around risk based contractor management, assurance planning and oversight, and leadership ownership of contractor performance and risk.

Cultural Transformation
The business is progressing through a significant transformation journey, with increased emphasis on operational ownership of risk. You will help drive greater accountability within project teams and stronger contractor governance practices.

Team Leadership & Capability Development
You will lead and develop an experienced Health & Safety partnering team, focused on supporting a complex and evolving project portfolio.

About You
You are a credible and pragmatic Health & Safety leader who has successfully operated within complex project, construction or infrastructure environments.
You will bring experience in:
  • Major infrastructure or construction projects
  • Contractor management and assurance
  • Leading Health & Safety teams
  • Organisational change and transformation
  • Influencing senior stakeholders
  • Complex operational and project environments
  • Capability development and leadership coaching
Why Apply?
This is a highly visible leadership role supporting a portfolio receiving significant executive focus and investment.
You will have the opportunity to influence major infrastructure delivery, strengthen contractor governance practices and help shape the future capability and culture of a business undergoing substantial transformation.
For an ambitious Health & Safety leader seeking genuine strategic impact, this represents one of the most compelling opportunities currently available in the market.
All enquiries and applications will be treated in strict confidence.
