About the Organisation
Your new organisation is a multi-disciplinary transport and heavy industrial services business and a recognised leader across ANZ. It delivers critical services to its customers and takes pride in its strong commercial performance, commitment to the community, and genuine focus on workplace safety.

With their significant operational footprint, this role is based at a location on the Western side of Sydney.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of HSE, you will work closely with experienced HSE professionals across the business, gaining broad exposure to operational safety, risk management, systems, and business partnering within a complex environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term safety career within a fast-paced, operational environment where safety, people, and continuous improvement sit at the centre of daily operations. In this environment, safety is not simply compliance-driven, it is shaped by creative thinking, engagement, and practical, real-world outcomes.

You will be supported to develop capability across:
  • Operational risk and HSE practices, including the development, review, and uplift of risk and safety assessments
  • Risk management including risk assessments, JSAs, and SWMS
  • Understanding what effective business partnering looks like in practice
  • Building capability to influence governance frameworks and safety standards
  • Developing strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels of the business
About You
This role will suit someone who is eager to learn, proactive, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about building a career in WHS.

You may be a recent WHS graduate and early-career professional or come from a career in an operational role, with the desire to move into safety.

To be successful, you will bring:
  • A genuine interest in WHS.
  • Ideally work experience as a Safety Advisor
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn
  • The ability to think practically and engage confidently with operational teams
  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline (completed or in progress) will be highly regarded
In return, you will receive structured mentoring, practical operational experience, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a long-term career in safety.
