About the Role
Reporting to the GM Safety & Sustainability, the Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping, implementing, and embedding the safety strategy across a large-scale agricultural organisation. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across a geographically diverse workforce.
You’ll work closely with the Executive and Operations teams to drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and practical compliance as well as ensuring systems and behaviours are not just compliant, but proactive and part of everyday decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of care and safety across office and farm-based teams
- Partner with leaders to embed safety into day-to-day operations
- Oversee WHS strategy, compliance, audits, and incident investigations
- Enhance safety policies, systems, and reporting processes
- Drive leader-led safety programs and build capability across teams
- Use data and insights to inform risk management and decision-making
- Lead psychosocial and physical wellbeing initiatives across all sites
We’re looking for someone who blends strategic thinking with a practical, operational mindset. You’ll bring credibility, curiosity, and a collaborative style that engages people at all levels of the organisation.
You’ll ideally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health, or a related field (Cert IV in Training & Assessment highly regarded)
- Proven success leading safety across multi-site, complex environments
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident response
- Analytical mindset with a track record of data-informed decision-making
- Experience building capability and influencing senior stakeholders
- A passion for wellbeing and safety innovation
