We are seeking an experienced and influential Safety Manager to join a large and highly respected organisation operating within a complex and safety-critical environment.

This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for an experienced people leader who enjoys developing teams, partnering with senior stakeholders and driving safety performance. You will play a key role in shaping safety strategy, strengthening capability and embedding a proactive and more contemporary safety culture across a diverse operational workforce.

The Opportunity
As the Safety Manager, you will lead two experienced Team Leaders and a team of more than 15 operationally focused Safety Advisors. By partnering closely with leaders across the organisation to understand their needs, you will develop the team to deliver strategic safety initiatives and continuously improve safety performance.

Success in this role will come from your ability to develop people, strengthen business partnering capability, understand stakeholders' needs and ensure safety remains embedded as a core organisational value.

You will be responsible for:
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Safety Advisors to build capability and deliver exceptional business partnering
  • Providing strategic safety advice and support to operational leaders across a large and diverse organisation
  • Driving continuous improvement across safety systems, governance frameworks and operational processes
  • Championing a proactive safety culture through coaching, collaboration and leadership
  • Overseeing incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and the effective implementation of corrective actions
  • Supporting organisational compliance with relevant WHS legislation and regulatory obligations
  • Monitoring safety performance, analysing trends and providing meaningful reporting and insights to senior leadership
  • Strengthening enterprise risk awareness and integrating contemporary safety practices into business decision-making
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to influence positive safety outcomes
  • Leading safety initiatives that improve organisational capability, engagement and performance
About You
You are an experienced safety leader who is passionate about developing people and creating high-performing teams. You understand that modern safety is built on strong relationships, collaboration and influence rather than compliance alone.

You are commercially aware, emotionally intelligent and comfortable working across complex organisations where stakeholder engagement is critical to success. Your leadership style is supportive and authentic, and you enjoy mentoring others while helping leaders improve safety performance across their business.

You will bring:
  • Extensive experience leading safety teams within large and complex organisations
  • Qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated success coaching and developing safety professionals
  • Strong understanding of contemporary WHS legislation, governance and risk management
  • Experience partnering with senior operational leaders to influence positive safety outcomes
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leading teams through organisational change and continuous improvement
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance operational priorities and long-term objectives
  • Current WA Driver's Licence
