An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Safety Manager to lead and embed a high-performing safety culture across a large, multi-site national business.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role will drive the development and execution of the safety strategy, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and best practice. You will play a key role in influencing leaders, improving systems and behaviours, and fostering a proactive, people-first approach to safety and wellbeing.

This is a highly visible leadership role suited to someone who thrives on building capability, driving change, and delivering continuous improvement across complex operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the safety strategy across the Southern region VIC / NSW / ACT
  • Lead and develop a high-performing safety team
  • Partner with senior leaders to influence safety outcomes and build capability
  • Maintain and enhance safety management systems, policies, and procedures
  • Lead audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support organisational change and drive engagement across the business
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in a senior safety leadership role within trade, retail, logistics, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of WHS/OHS legislation and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and engage senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • High levels of integrity, resilience, and emotional intelligence
  • Relevant safety qualifications (Diploma minimum; tertiary highly regarded)
