We’re partnering with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Return-to-Work, WHS & HR Coordinator. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of permanency.
This role is perfect for an emerging professional who wants to grow beyond general HR administration or workers compensation case management and step into a dynamic role spanning injury management, WHS operations, contractor administration, and HR services. You’ll join a newly created team that supports Finance and Corporate Affairs, working closely with specialists and a highly experienced WHS Manager who will provide guidance and mentorship.
About the Role
- Return to Work Coordination – manage cases, liaise with icare and insurers, support early intervention, and help drive proactive initiatives.
- WHS Support – work with WHS data, contribute to injury management platforms, and support workplace safety initiatives across the organisation.
- HR & Contractor Administration – manage new starter onboarding, contractor compliance, and contribute to the full employee lifecycle within a shared services model.
- Collaboration – work within a flat, highly supportive team environment where flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication are valued.
- RTW Coordinator Certification and ideally your Cert IV in Work Health & Safety
- Case management experience from an insurer or WHS or HR Administration experience
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with people at all levels.
- Resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to pick up what’s needed in a fast-moving environment.
- A collaborative mindset – comfortable working in a flat structure with ambiguity and change.
- A genuine interest in developing your career across WHS, HR and People Operations.
- Exposure to a wide range of HR and WHS activities, not just administration.
- Opportunity to work alongside an experienced WHS Manager and position yourself for succession in the WHS and Injury Management space.
- A culture that is non-hierarchical, collaborative, and supportive, with a strong focus on people and wellbeing.
- Flexibility – hybrid model, with 3 days in the office (Homebush/Barangaroo).
- Competitive salary package and the chance to secure a permanent role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step up, broaden their experience, and grow in a supportive environment where development is encouraged and valued. Please click 'apply now' or reach out to Keilee Armstrong at karmstrong@thesafestep.com.au
