As a Return to Work Coordinator, you will manage and support employees returning to work following injury, illness, or personal circumstances. You will work closely with managers, People & Culture, Health & Safety, medical providers, and insurers to deliver compliant, safe, and supportive return-to-work outcomes.
This is a highly people-centred role, requiring empathy, professionalism, and strong organisational skills. You will act as a trusted point of contact for employees, contributing to wellbeing, engagement, and positive recovery experiences. There is also scope to support broader WHS, injury prevention, and employee wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage return-to-work programs, workers’ compensation cases, and employee recovery plans.
- Liaise with managers, medical providers, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and best outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and reporting in line with legislative requirements.
- Support initiatives in employee wellbeing, injury prevention, and workplace health and safety (WHS).
- Act as a trusted support for employees, providing guidance, empathy, and reassurance during recovery.
- Experience in return-to-work coordination, workers’ compensation, or employee wellbeing.
- Knowledge of employment law, injury management, WHS, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative capability, with attention to detail and follow-through.
