Lead safety, risk and compliance across a multi-site logistics operation
Our client is a leading organisation within the warehousing and logistics sector, seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to take ownership of workplace health and safety, risk management and compliance across three operational sites (two in Western Sydney, one in Perth).
This is a highly autonomous role suited to a practical safety professional who enjoys being close to operations, building relationships with frontline teams, coaching leaders and driving meaningful improvements in safety culture.
You will act as the trusted safety partner to operations, providing expert guidance while embedding robust WHS systems, risk controls and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex warehousing and logistics environment.
About the role
Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Leading WHS, risk and compliance activities across three warehouse locations
- Developing and implementing practical safety strategies, risk assessments and improvement plans
- Conducting audits, inspections and investigations to identify hazards and reduce operational risk
- Coaching managers, supervisors and teams to strengthen safety ownership and accountability
- Delivering WHS training, inductions and safety communications
- Supporting incident, near miss and corrective action processes
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, standards and customer requirements
- Partnering with operations teams to improve safety, quality and business performance
- Supporting contractor compliance, site readiness and audit preparation
About you
You are an experienced WHS professional who can operate independently and influence effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in WHS within warehousing, logistics, distribution, transport or a similar operational environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse risks, including manual handling, material movement, contractor management and frontline safety practices
- Experience working as a standalone safety professional or in a role requiring significant autonomy
- The ability to coach and influence leaders at all levels
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to risk management
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge where required
- Experience implementing safety improvements and driving behavioural change
Ideally, you will have
- Experience within 3PL, distribution, logistics, manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Experience supporting multi-site operations
- Exposure to regulated environments, audits and compliance frameworks
Why this opportunity?
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in a role where safety leadership is highly visible. You will have the autonomy to shape processes, build capability and partner with operational leaders to create safer, more effective workplaces.
If you are a hands-on WHS professional who thrives on ownership, coaching and continuous improvement, we would welcome your application.
