The Role
Reporting to a senior safety leader, you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety risk, compliance and assurance programs.

You will provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders, oversee assurance activities, maintain health and safety risk profiles, and support the achievement of legislative and organisational safety objectives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading health, safety and wellbeing risk, compliance and assurance programs.
  • Designing and improving assurance frameworks, plans, tools and reporting processes.
  • Providing timely reporting and insights to senior leaders on risk, compliance and assurance performance.
  • Maintaining enterprise health and safety risk registers and profiles.
  • Contributing to a positive safety culture, including psychological safety and wellbeing initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in health and safety risk management, assurance and compliance, ideally gained within infrastructure, construction, engineering, energy or other high-risk industries.

You will possess:
  • Demonstrated experience leading and improving health and safety assurance frameworks within complex operational environments.
  • Experience developing assurance programs, conducting audits, investigations and driving corrective actions.
  • Advanced skills in health and safety reporting, data analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to provide trusted advice to senior leaders.
  • Experience using digital health and safety management systems and reporting platforms.
