About the Role
As the Senior Health and Safety Business Partner, you will partner with the Leaders and their teams to deliver health and safety strategic initiatives. This role will also liaise with and support the delivery of broader safety initiatives. Provide expertise in better practice health and safety to the operational teams and the assurance of health and safety practices. Coach the Health and Safety Partners to drive positive safety culture and support the management of Health and Safety risks effectively and efficiently.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide partnering support and counsel to Executives, General Managers and Group GM Health and Safety on what is working well and emerging / systemic health and safety concerns across all divisions
  • Provide health and safety leadership, expertise and coaching to the divisional leadership teams and Health and Safety Partners to uplift health and safety capability to support our operational leaders
  • Implement the company’s health and safety strategy and improvement plan, in consultation and collaboration with the wider organisation
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of health and safety policies, programs and processes using agreed measures and provide feedback for improvements to policy/ process owners
  • Builds strong relationships with operational leaders and teams, to provide strategic and day-to-day health and safety advice and coaching
  • Provide health and safety subject matter expertise to implement, and review divisional health and safety plans, processes, and practices, and implement the work health and safety management system
About You
  • Around 6+ years experience delivering complex health and safety solutions to large private or listed organisations
  • Proven success in translating enterprise strategies into business initiative that deliver results
  • Ability to coach and uplift in health and safety capability
  • Influential at all levels, you can have courageous conversations with frontline leaders, whilst being a trusted peer to the Senior Leadership team
  • Experienced in providing advice to executive leaders to their operational employee network
  • Expertise in developing and implementing health and safety risk management frameworks, procedures, and tools
  • Expertise in incident investigation and notifiable occurrence response
