About the Role
This is a high impact leadership opportunity to drive continuous improvement across a diverse and complex workers compensation and injury management portfolio.
As National Workers Compensation Manager, you will lead strategy, uplift capability across the business, and embed a proactive, prevention first culture.
Partnering closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will influence mindset and behaviours, improve outcomes for injured workers, and deliver measurable reductions in claims cost and duration across a large scale, multi site FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the end to end workers compensation and injury management strategy across a complex, multi site operation
  • Overseeing business units operating under self insurance models
  • Coaching and uplifting frontline leaders to confidently manage injury and illness, building capability at scale
  • Partnering with senior leadership to drive accountability and improve understanding of injury management expectations
  • Providing expert advice and hands on support across injury management and claims processes
  • Driving robust claims governance through active insurer engagement and structured claims reviews
  • Managing insurance programmes and optimising premium outcomes
  • Continuously improving policies, systems and processes across injury management, rehabilitation and return to work
  • Leveraging data and analytics to identify trends, reduce risk and deliver sustainable cost improvements
About You
You are a strategic and influential injury management leader who thrives in complex, fast moving environments and is passionate about driving meaningful and sustainable change.
You will bring:
  • Deep experience in workers compensation and injury management within a large, multi site organisation, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or a related sector
  • A proven track record delivering improved return to work outcomes and reducing claims costs
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage insurer relationships and key premium drivers
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated success in leading cultural change, uplifting leadership capability and improving processes
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
