About The Role
The Manager, Injury and Recovery Services manages the early intervention program, strategy and administration of WorkCover claims, and assist in the return to work of both work and non-work related injuries, illnesses and conditions.
- Ensure injuries are managed to minimise impacts to workers with a focus on returning to work. This will include continued development of early intervention programs and relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure the Workers Compensation scheme is managed so that premium impacts are minimised and scheme requirements are met
- Identify, share and implement continuous improvement initiatives/best practice & lessons learnt across the organisation
- A people leader who knows how to maintain a high performing functional team
- Extensive Claims management experience
- Experience with Return to Work and related industrial issues
- Excellent relationship management at all levels of an organisation
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Critical thinker with excellent communication skills
- Compassion, understanding and empathy when dealing with affected workers
