About the Opportunity
Our client, a Sydney-based higher education institution organisation is seeking an experienced Injury Management Specialist. This is a hands-on role for someone who can bring structure, governance, and professional injury management expertise to the team.
The successful candidate will work across HR, Employee Relations, and Health & Wellbeing teams to improve injury and return-to-work processes. - Establish consistent triage, governance, and communication processes.
- Prepare professional correspondence with staff, doctors, and external providers.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure effective case management.
- Identify systemic issues and recommend process improvements.
- Support the team to implement sustainable injury management practices.
- Proven experience in injury management, return-to-work, or claims management, ideally within a self-insured environment.
- Strong knowledge of injury management processes and compliance requirements.
- Ability to quickly assess complex cases and provide practical, effective solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Calm, pragmatic, and able to influence across teams.
- 3-month contract with potential extension and/ or permanency.
- Flexible, hybrid work arrangement
