About the role
This is an opportunity to directly impact safety culture across the business. With robust systems and processes this role is focused on safety improvements, developing a small team to drive safety initiatives and fostering a safe and compliant work place.
- Develop key relationships and manage stakeholders within a complex blue collar environment
- Lead a small team and be a coach and mentor
- Support a direct workforce of 150 and a large sub-contractor workforce in high-risk activities
- Lead initiatives to reduce critical risks and improve workplace safety
- Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership and team coaching
- Review and implement safety procedures to meet legal and industry standards
We are looking for an experienced safety leader that has worked in high-risk environments ideally energy related. Use your knowledge and leadership to build and sustain a people focused safety culture
To be successful you will:
- Have a proven track record of safety leadership in energy assets - gas/elec/mining etc
- A background in a process safety would be highly advantageous.
- Have a strong presence and personal brand, able to influence stakeholders and inspire your team
- Be a people-centred leader who understands how change is delivered through effective engagement
- Ability to clearly communicate and make the complex simple
