About the Role 
Reporting into their Head of HSE, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all health, safety and environmental programs are aligned to the newly created strategic plan and roadmap. More specifically this will include:

  • Drive safety outcomes by influencing and supporting managers, leadership teams, employees and contractors
  • Work with frontline managers through coaching and mentoring to enhance personal accountability for HSE
  • Provide advice to and consult with employees, managers and leadership teams on operational safety issues that deliver enhanced safety outcome for all
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities and proposing solutions to enhance overall HSE performance
About You
To be successful in this role it is imperative you are a people person. This is a role that engages with the business to drive safety performance, so a new aged approach is critical.
  • Previous experience in blue collar, high risk industry environments
  • Understanding and experience in working with transport, resources, or diverse high risk environments
  • Proven experience in leading incident and investigation and route cause analysis
  • Experience in driving H&S initiatives and programs to achieve required outcomes
  • Relevant health and safety specific qualifications are also required for this role
