About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Safety, this role will partner with leaders across retail, distribution and support office functions to ensure safe systems of work are embedded across the business. You will provide practical advice, coach managers, and play a key role in assisting the rollout of a new safety management system.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with leaders across retail, warehousing and office environments to support safety outcomes.
  • Coaching and mentoring managers and DC leaders to build capability and ownership.
  • Supporting the rollout of a new safety management system.
  • Leading and supporting incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
  • Coordinating safety reporting and contributing to cross-regional forums with colleagues in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
This role can be based from either the South Melbourne or Torquay office, with flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays, fortnightly DC visits, and regular store rotations around Melbourne.

About You
You are a qualified health and safety professional with the capability to influence across a high-volume, multi-site network. You bring:
  • A minimum of Certificate IV or Diploma-level qualification in Work Health & Safety (or higher).
  • Proven experience managing safety across a large number of sites, ideally within retail, warehousing and/or office environments.
  • Strong skills in coaching and mentoring managers to lift capability and embed ownership of safety.
  • A pragmatic, approachable style, with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
