At the heart of this mission is the Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) team, responsible for workplace safety, biosafety, injury management, wellbeing and compliance. They are seeking a dynamic Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to lead this vital function.
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver safety strategies, lead a capable and engaged team and work with committed stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a positive safety culture through visible leadership and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the Safety Management System and compliance across WHS, biosafety, wellbeing and injury management.
- Partner with senior leaders to embed safe, sustainable practices across diverse work environments.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of three HSW specialists.
- Provide reports and insights to the Board of Directors on HSW performance and strategy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including dangerous goods, transport and licensing.
- Drive wellbeing initiatives, including psychosocial risk management programs.
You are a hands on leader with a collaborative style, strong technical expertise and a passion for fostering a safe, healthy workplace.
Experience and Skills
- Expertise in workers' compensation, injury and claims management.
- Proven success in implementing and maintaining Safety Management Systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach and inspire teams.
- Knowledge of psychosocial and manual handling risks across diverse work environments.
- Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Exceptional communication and business partnering abilities.
