An established energy organisation is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to support both traditional and renewable operations across Queensland.
This is a refreshed role within the team, offering the opportunity to step in, add value quickly, and contribute to the ongoing development of systems, processes and team capability.
With a strong pipeline of renewable projects, you will play a key role supporting wind farm operations across regional Queensland—providing oversight across high-risk activities while partnering closely with site teams.
About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Health & Safety Specialist, you will operate in an “eyes on, hands off” capacity—providing governance, oversight and support across renewable assets and broader operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversight of risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Supporting remote wind farm operations across regional QLD
- Maintaining and improving H&S systems and documentation
- Reviewing policies, procedures and risk frameworks
- Supporting contractor management frameworks (non-direct)
- System maintenance, reporting and data support
- Partnering with site teams, Business Partners and leaders
About You
You are a confident HSE professional with strong technical knowledge and practical, on-the-ground experience.
You will bring:
- Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum), preferably higher level qualifications
- Background in heavy industry, construction, energy or similar
- Strong understanding of high-risk activities
- Experience with HSE systems, processes and risk frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A pragmatic, adaptable approach to change
- Fortitude Valley location
- Hybrid working, work from home, flexible start & finish times
- 12-month initial engagement with potential to extend or convert
