An opportunity exists for a motivated and proactive Health and Safety Project Coordinator to join a highly regarded and well-established organisation in Sydney. This permanent role is offering flexibility, growth, and variety in a truly unique operational environment.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Health & Safety Project Coordinator to support the Head of Health & Safety in coordinating and implementing health and safety projects, programs and initiatives. In this role you will help develop and maintain project management plans to ensure key milestones are met. Other areas include:

  • Coordinate communication and consultation channels for the Health & Safety team, ensuring timely information sharing with stakeholders.
  • Support the effective day-to-day operation of their Health & Safety function, including documentation, data collection and reporting.
  • Assist with team activities, learning sessions, meetings and events to foster engagement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of Health & Safety and Health & Safety Partners to develop, review and maintain project management plans for health and safety initiatives.
  • Monitor project schedules and report on progress to ensure transparency of status and deliverables.
  • Coordinate consultation and communication with key stakeholders, providing them with the information they need to meet assigned actions and requirements.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and other documentation are current and accessible.
  • Coordinate health and safety data collection, analysis and reporting, supporting the team to prepare reports and papers as required.
  • Support audit activities and escalate any safety concerns to the Head of Health & Safety or Health & Safety Partner.
  • Assist with coordinating team activities, learning sessions and meetings.
  • Create a positive work environment by collaborating with colleagues, planning daily workflows and offering assistance when needed.
  • Develop and distribute the health and safety calendar of activities and events.
  • Coordinate purchase orders, invoicing, subscriptions and memberships in accordance with the client’s policies and procedures.
About You
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, valid driver’s licence and willingness to undertake an NDIS Worker Screening Check, Criminal Record Check and other checks as required.
  • Proficiency with data management systems; experience creating reports and developing documentation.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare documentation and reports for diverse audiences.
  • Previous experience coordinating team events and activities.
