As the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will play a vital role in collaborating with leaders to deliver strategic health and safety initiatives to multiple sites across WA and NT. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring health and safety practices are consistently upheld across all the operational teams.
This new role, is to join an expanding team to support the established team and take on the geographical remit of WA/NT.
- Partner with Executives, General Managers, and the Group GM Health and Safety to provide support and counsel on health and safety concerns within your remit
- Lead, coach, and uplift the health and safety capability on the WA/NT/SA sites
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of health and safety policies, programs, and processes, offering valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to prevent accidents, incidents, and occupational hazards.
- Support the operational function to complete incident and ensure learnings are incorporated into our practices.
- Identify safety training needs within your remit
- Constant support, advice, coaching and training
Position Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualification in an OH&S field desirable
- Lead Auditor qualification is highly desirable
- Proven expertise in developing health and safety risk management frameworks, procedures, and tools, including hazard and risk assessments.
- Managing a large number of sites and leading all internal audits
- Ability to provide advice to senior management and stakeholders on health and safety matters and influence positive change.
- Strong knowledge of health safety legislation and regulations, with a focus on WHS regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage your time and work autonomously on a day to day basis with the support of a wider national team
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and uplifting health and safety capability across an organization.

You will not be based in an office, rather, working out in the field to ensure best practice around health and safety.
