About the Role
As the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders to drive and enhance safety outcomes across multiple operational sites in Central Victoria and Tasmania. You will partner with Executives, General Managers, and the Group General Manager of Health & Safety to support the ongoing uplift of safety practices and culture.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on and visible in the business. You will spend approximately 10 days per month on the road visiting sites, with the remainder of your time working from home. You will not be office-based.
Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to provide expert advice, guidance, and support on all health and safety matters.
  • Lead, coach and uplift safety capability across the VIC/TAS region.
  • Monitor and review safety policies, systems, and practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support incident investigations and ensure learnings are embedded.
  • Identify risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Support the identification and delivery of safety training requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and support regulatory compliance.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline) desirable.
  • Lead Auditor qualification highly desirable.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing risk management frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Experience managing multiple sites and leading internal audits.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Able to influence, coach, and build capability at all levels of the organisation.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work autonomously while being part of a national safety team.
