About the Role
This newly created Health and Safety Business Partner role has been established to lift regional health and safety support across NSW Central Coast and the North Coast. Working closely with operational leaders and site teams, you will provide practical, commercially aligned health and safety leadership across multiple locations.
As part of a supportive and well established national health and safety function, you will take ownership of the regional remit. The role blends strategic input with hands on engagement on site, supporting consistency, capability uplift and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Partner with senior leaders and operational teams to provide practical health and safety advice and support
- Coach and uplift health and safety capability across multiple sites
- Review, monitor and improve health and safety systems, policies and practices
- Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring learnings are embedded into operations
- Proactively identify operational risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Support the identification and delivery of health and safety training needs
- Conduct internal audits and support ongoing regulatory compliance
- Tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety or a related discipline desirable
- Lead Auditor qualification highly desirable
- Proven experience developing and embedding risk management frameworks and tools
- Background supporting multiple operational sites and leading internal audits
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Confident influencing leaders and building safety capability at all levels
- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a national team
