As a result, an opportunity has emerged for a Health & Safety Business Partner to join the team and play a key role in that evolution. It is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building capability, influencing leaders and helping shape what good looks like within a business that is genuinely committed to improvement.
The Opportunity
Working closely with operational leaders, you'll be the face of health and safety across your portfolio, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen capability, improve outcomes and embed practical health and safety practices.
You'll spend time in the field building relationships, coaching leaders, supporting investigations and identifying opportunities to improve how health and safety is managed across the organisation.
There is plenty of opportunity to contribute beyond day to day operations. The function is continuing to mature, meaning you'll have the chance to be involved in developing frameworks, improving processes and helping drive a broader cultural uplift.

You'll be responsible for
- Partnering with leaders to improve health and safety performance and capability
- Supporting incident investigations and ensuring meaningful corrective actions
- Providing practical health and safety advice and coaching across the business
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping embed change
- Supporting risk management, compliance and assurance activities
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing positive behaviours
- Contributing to the ongoing development of safety systems, frameworks and programs
- You are a relationship builder.
- You understand that sustainable health and safety outcomes come from credibility, trust and influence.
- You may currently be a Health & Safety Advisor looking for a broader remit, or an experienced Business Partner wanting an opportunity where you can genuinely help shape the future direction of a function.
- Most importantly, you'll bring the energy, resilience and commercial mindset required to operate effectively in an evolving environment.
- Health and safety experience within operational, property, infrastructure, community, utilities or similarly complex environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Experience managing incidents, investigations and risk management activities
- A practical and solutions focused approach
- The ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Relevant health and safety qualifications
