About the Company 
The Safe Step has partnered with a large, complex industrial services organisation operating across Australia. This business plays a critical role in supporting essential infrastructure and services, with a strong focus on managing critical risk, strengthening safety leadership, and building sustainable Health and Safety capability across operations.
This role supports a defined business segment and geographical region within a high risk, blue collar environment.

About the Role
This role provides hands on advice and support across all aspects of Health and Safety management. You will partner closely with operational leaders to deliver Health and Safety plans, initiatives, and priorities, while building capability and strengthening compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities include:
• Partnering with operational leaders and business critical roles to improve Health and Safety performance, capability, and culture
• Providing specialist Health and Safety advice and support across your allocated business segment or region
• Supporting the audit and assurance program
• Assisting with regulator interactions and incident response as required
• Ensuring Health and Safety reporting, tracking, and governance requirements are met
• Implementing change and transformation initiatives that improve ways of working and risk management maturity

About You
You are an experienced Health and Safety professional with a proven background thriving in complex, high risk, blue collar environments.

You are calm under pressure, commercially aware, and confident partnering with leaders to drive meaningful change.

You will ideally bring:
• Minimum three years experience in a Health and Safety business partnering role
• Proven experience working in manufacturing, industrial services, heavy industry, or other high risk operational environments
• Strong WHS qualifications 
• Background in incident response, audit support, and delivery of Health and Safety programs
• Solid understanding of Health and Safety legislation, standards, and industry best practice
• Excellent communication skills and a passion to connect, coach and upskill operational workers.
