Ready to drive real safety culture change? We are recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Business Partner to lead safety excellence across a major industrial operation. This is your chance to shape how one of Sydney's most established industrial services organisations approaches risk – not from behind a desk, but as a hands-on leader embedded in the action.
If you are energised by building safety culture, solving complex operational challenges, and working with frontline teams who respect practical expertise, this role could be your next career move.
The opportunity
You will be a go-to safety support on site – visible, accessible, and genuinely influential. Working directly with operational teams and senior leaders, you will:
- Lead practical safety transformation – Move beyond compliance to embed sustainable safety improvements that actually stick, from incident response through to proactive risk management
- Build safety capability – Partner with managers and frontline teams to develop their safety knowledge, decision-making, and culture
- Investigate and resolve – Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analysis that drive meaningful operational improvements
- Drive continuous improvement – Champion safety initiatives that make a measurable difference to both people and operations
- Translate strategy to action – Bridge the gap between enterprise health and safety standards and day-to-day operational reality
- Model excellence – Lead by example with visible commitment to safe practices and environmental stewardship
You have hands-on experience in health and safety business partnering or advisory roles, ideally in blue collar and high-risk industrial environments. You bring:
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups and deliver real outcomes
- Strong experience with incident response and investigation methodologies (e.g., incident cause analysis)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you can influence at all levels and coach people to better safety decisions
- Solid understanding of health and safety legislation, standards, and industry best practice
- Formal qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related discipline (preferred)
- Genuine comfort and credibility working in high-risk industrial settings
What's in it for you
- Genuine influence – Lead a diverse and interesting risk profile with real autonomy to shape safety strategy and delivery
- Hands-on variety – Move beyond theory; work on practical, outcomes-focused safety solutions every day
- Strong support network – Join a collaborative team with visible leadership backing and a genuine commitment to your development
- High-impact work – See your efforts translate directly into safer operations and healthier workplaces
We look forward to connecting with you.
