We are seeking and experienced and people focused Health,  Safety and Wellbeing Manager  to join a purpose driven local authority that provides a range of services to the community. Reporting directly to the Manager, People, Culture & Safety  this leadership role is a key driver in shaping a proactive and engaging safety culture across the organisation.

With four direct reports the HSEQ Manager will guide and develop a high-performing, collaborative team. There is significant scope to uplift capability, embed a strong business partnering model, and elevate the profile of both safety and wellbeing initiatives at the executive level.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Build a business partnering safety culture
  • Lead initiatives to address key risks, particularly occupational violence and aggression (OVA), through robust prevention strategies.
  • Oversee safety reporting and data accuracy to support transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Guide executive-led safety initiatives, ensuring high engagement and accountability.
  • Drive capability uplift within the safety team and across the organisation.
