We are partnering with a well-established workplace consultancy to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor  to join their Sydney-based team. This role sits within a specialist function that supports internal teams and clients by developing high-quality documentation, delivering expert technical guidance, and translating legislation into practical solutions.

About the Role
This position focuses on technical content creation and internal consultancy. You'll help shape the safety materials that guide clients across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring they're clear, compliant, and easy to implement. You’ll also contribute to internal capability building and occasionally support seminars, webinars, and other training activities.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and updating WHS policies, manuals, and procedures
  • Reviewing legislation and advising on practical applications
  • Responding to complex or escalated H&S queries from internal teams
  • Supporting content development for training and communication materials
  • Contributing to audits and inspections of safety systems as required
  • Presenting technical advice in a clear, client-friendly format
About You
You’re a detail-oriented WHS professional with a knack for simplifying the complex. You enjoy writing, translating legislation into action, and ensuring safety content is both compliant and usable. You’re collaborative, adaptable, and ready to make a broader impact beyond front-line advisory work. You are creative and have a flair for design. 

To be considered, you’ll have:
  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS(Diploma preferred)
  • At least 3 years of WHS industry experience
  • Strong written communication and technical writing ability
  • Ability to engage confidently with internal stakeholders
  • Up-to-date understanding of Australian WHS legislation
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
