This is a genuine transformation role. You will reset and reposition the function — strengthening systems and processes, refining governance, and ensuring consistent, high-quality case management across all jurisdictions.
The role leads return-to-work and injury management nationally, provides oversight of the Drug & Alcohol program, contributes to psychosocial and mental health initiatives, and supports telehealth services.
The role will focus on both managing injuries but also pro-active injury prevention strategies. A key focus will be to improve the injury prevention strategies across the business.
Key Focus Areas
- Establish a clear national injury management strategy and governance framework
- Strengthen stakeholder engagement across operational leadership
- Partner closely with HSE Business Partners to align safety and injury priorities
- Scope and commence meaningful injury prevention initiatives
- Embed consistent reporting, visibility and accountability across all sites
- Manage insurer relationships across 18 workers’ compensation policies

You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading injury management in a national, multi-site environment
- Strong working knowledge of workers’ compensation across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience uplifting systems, governance and reporting frameworks
- Confidence influencing senior operational and executive leaders
- Capability to shift a function from reactive case management to proactive prevention
- Commercial awareness and comfort using data to inform decision-making
