It provides essential materials to support major infrastructure, construction, and resource projects across Australia and beyond. Committed to safety, operational excellence, and sustainability, they are currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager to support their Central and Northern Queensland operations. This role is based in Gladstone.
About the Role
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will lead a lean team responsible for a portfolio of sites across Central and Northern Queensland. Your responsibilities will include overseeing compliance, driving continuous improvement, managing systems, training, auditing, and leading incident investigations. You will also be accountable for managing workplace injuries, workers’ compensation claims, and developing return-to-work (RTW) plans to support employees through recovery.
You will partner with the leadership team to foster a strong, positive safety culture and ensure operations are safe, healthy, productive, and sustainable.
About You
We’re looking for a knowledgeable, collaborative, and energetic leader with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and drive positive change.
Your background will include experience across WHS, process safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and ideally transport-related risk such as fleet management or rail. Experience in complex manufacturing, construction/building materials, or transport industries would be highly regarded.
To be considered, you must be based in Gladstone or willing to relocate on a residential basis. Please note this is not a FIFO or DIDO role.
