Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 standards and the latest legislative requirements across Australian and New Zealand jurisdictions.
- Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees to embed strong health and safety practices throughout the organisation.
- Oversee the delivery of the ISO 45001 certified management system, including change management and ongoing system improvement.
- Design and facilitate internal training and professional development programs.
- Maintain full compliance with all relevant work health and safety legislation.
- A tertiary qualification in work health and safety (a university degree is preferred).
- At least three to five years of experience in medium to high-risk industries.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of health and safety professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a corporate environment.
