Based in the heart of Sydney’s central business district, this full-time, office-based role is ideal for a health and safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate setting. You will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of internal health, safety, and wellbeing programs across Australia and New Zealand, while also supporting client-facing initiatives that reflect the organisation’s technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 standards and the latest legislative requirements across Australian and New Zealand jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees to embed strong health and safety practices throughout the organisation.
  • Oversee the delivery of the ISO 45001 certified management system, including change management and ongoing system improvement.
  • Design and facilitate internal training and professional development programs.
  • Maintain full compliance with all relevant work health and safety legislation.
What You Will Bring
  • A tertiary qualification in work health and safety (a university degree is preferred).
  • At least three to five years of experience in medium to high-risk industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of health and safety professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a corporate environment.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional excellence.
