About the Role
Reporting functionally to the Vice President, this is a strategic yet hands-on (stand alone) role that will deliver:

  • HSE strategy: collaborate with key stakeholders, both internally and across the broader network to develop and deliver a comprehensive, risk-based HSE strategy
  • HSE culture: promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation and its networks, fostering a mindset of proactive safety awareness, including psychological Safety, and continuous Improvement
  • Assurance: provide system assurance through oversight and active participation in customer audits and HSE forums across the network
  • Risk management: apply a risk-based approach aligned with ALARP and SFAIRP principles
  • Industry influence: stay abreast of industry trends in HSE and ensure they remain an industry-leader with a reputation for the highest standards
  • HSE System: refine and embed with impact, aligned to the strategic growth of the business
  • Business continuity: contribute to Business Continuity Plans, incident management and emergency preparedness
  
About You
While our client is focused on finding the right style of person to fit their unique operating environment, some key areas of experience for the ideal candidate are:
  • A proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Deep understanding of contemporary HSE concepts and the ability to articulate and implement what “good” looks like in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated success in lifting HSE maturity across complex, multifaceted operations
  • Strong working knowledge of ALARP and SFAIRP standards
