The role:
The executive leadership team are strongly committed and highly engaged, the safety function itself needs structure, focus and capability uplifts. You will take the function from reactive to proactive, lift maturity and establish a strong foundation for the future. This involves creating clarity, building alignment across teams and ensuring safety has a visible, credible seat at the table as the organisation undergoes change.
What you’ll tackle:
- Build and embed a new psychosocial risk management framework and procedures.
- Redesign WHS consultation and communication arrangements across the organisation.
- Identify and progress key process and system improvements with a practical, connected approach.
- Review the team’s operating model, clarify roles, lift capability and reset focus.
- Proven experience leading or transforming a safety function in a large, complex organisation.
- The ability to influence across layers, from executives to frontline teams.
- Strength in psychosocial risk management and contemporary safety practice.
- A pragmatic, grounded approach to culture and change, knowing when to push, partner, or simplify.
- 12-month fixed-term contract (with potential to extend)
- Hybrid work model (3 days onsite / 2 from home)
- Part time arrangements possible (4 days or 9-day fortnight)
- On-site parking available
