ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Health & Safety A&NZ sets the vision and leads the strategy for all Health & Safety activity across the organisation and partner network. This is a true dual role, combining strategic influence with practical operational engagement across an active, diverse portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic guidance and expert advice to the Board and senior executives
- Developing and implementing operational safety frameworks that foster a strong, proactive safety culture
- Proactively monitoring emerging risks and driving effective mitigation strategies
- Partnering with stakeholders to ensure compliance and lift capability across the business
- Building and maintaining strong relationships to support integrated, organisation wide safety outcomes
- Championing innovation, continuous improvement and value creation in safety practice
- Proven success in a senior Health & Safety leadership role, ideally in property, construction, infrastructure, or similarly complex environments
- Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels
- Highly developed influencing and relationship building skills
- Experience within large, complex and high performance organisations
- Strong strategic mindset supported by technical depth and commercial acumen
- Extensive experience preparing and presenting material to Boards and external stakeholders
